Two immense stone statues of Isildur and Anárion stand upon either side of the Anduin, their left hands raised in warning to enemies of Gondor. Built by Rómendacil II, the Argonath marked the northern border of Gondor. The Fellowship passed between them on their journey south from Lothlórien.
