Tol Fuin
Remnant of Dorthonion
An island in the far northwestern sea, Tol Fuin is the surviving highland of Dorthonion (Taur-nu-Fuin). In the First Age, this forested plateau was held by Angrod and Aegnor against Morgoth until the Dagor Bragollach. Afterwards it became a haunted wilderness where Barahir and his outlaws hid, and where his son Beren wandered alone before escaping south to Doriath and his fateful meeting with Lúthien. When Beleriand was drowned, only this peak endured above the waves.
