Eryn Vorn
The Dark Wood
A dense, dark cape of ancient forest jutting into the sea south of the mouth of the Brandywine. Eryn Vorn is one of the last remnants of the vast primeval woodlands that once covered all of Eriador. When the Númenóreans felled great swathes of forest for their shipbuilding in the Second Age, the native pre-Númenórean peoples, hostile to the newcomers, retreated into this dark wood and were left alone. It remained wild and uninhabited through all the ages that followed.
