Harondor
South Gondor
Harondor, or South Gondor, was the contested borderland between the Rivers Poros and Harnen. In Gondor's prime it was a settled province, but as Gondor waned and Harad waxed, the region became a desolate no-man's-land fought over for centuries. Neither side held it securely for long. By the time of the War of the Ring, Harondor was effectively abandoned — a buffer zone between two hostile powers.
