Dagorlad
The Last Alliance
The Last Alliance of Elves and Men, led by Gil-galad and Elendil, fought the greatest battle of the Second Age on the plains before the Black Gate. After seven years besieging Barad-dûr, they overthrew Sauron, but both Gil-galad and Elendil fell. Isildur cut the One Ring from Sauron's hand.
