A vast inland sea in the far east of Middle-earth, the Sea of Rhûn was the heartland of the Easterling peoples who repeatedly invaded Gondor throughout the ages. Little is known of the lands beyond it. The Blue Wizards, Alatar and Pallando, were sent east and are believed to have journeyed beyond the sea, but their fate remains unknown.
